State recognizes engineer

DENNIS GARDISSER with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service recently received the Aviation Counselor of the Year award from the Federal Aviation Administration for the state of Arkansas, and for the southern region.

The awards were presented to him during the annual training workshop for safety counselors in Mountain View, Ark.

Gardisser, associate department head and engineer for the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, received the awards for his Extension and private activities he conducts for both the agricultural and general aviation communities.
