ST. LOUIS — Soybean and corn producers can get on the "Classic track" to learn more about enhancing farm efficiency and profitability at Commodity Classic, Feb. 27 — March 1, 2003, in Charlotte, N.C.

It will be the eighth annual convention and trade show presented by the American Soybean Association (ASA) and National Corn Growers Association (NCGA). At Commodity Classic growers meet key people in the agriculture sector for information and educational sessions.

The premiere trade show includes nearly 700 booths representing leading agricultural businesses and organizations.

Dwain Ford, ASA president, said, "Commodity Classic includes a variety of information sessions on topics such as marketing, transportation infrastructure, renewable fuels and biotechnology that will help growers learn new ways to increase their profitability."

Fred Yoder, NCGA president, said, "At Commodity Classic, corn and soybean producers will see the latest in technology at the trade show, where they'll also have the opportunity to talk with the top agribusiness leaders and decision makers."

Joe Gibbs, NASCAR team owner and former pro football coach, will give the keynote address at the general session. As head coach of the Washington Redskins, Gibbs led the team to four Super Bowls and three world championships in 12 years. After retiring, Gibbs went on to head some of the top teams on the NASCAR and NHRA circuits.

Commodity Classic also features a special evening of entertainment with the award-winning country music group Diamond Rio.
