Farmers in south Arkansas can see how cotton, rice, wheat, corn and grain sorghum crops in University of Arkansas’ Research Verification Programs are performing at a Multi-Crop Research Verification Program Tour July 20.

Farmers will meet at the USDA Cotton Classing office at Dumas, Ark., and depart on the tour at 9:15 a.m., according to Matt Cordell, coordinator of the Soybean and Wheat Research Verification Program.

They’ll stop at fields where a verification coordinator, county agents and participating producers will discuss what they’re doing. Farmers can examine the crops and discuss the results.

Lunch will be provided at the Bayou Grain Facility by the John Deere Company.

The last stop on the tour is at 2:30 p.m.

The tour is co-sponsored by the promotion boards for each crop.
