The Global Harvest Initiative (GHI) has welcomed its latest member, global animal health and food productivity leader Elanco, joining the ranks of GHI member companies DuPont, John Deere, IBM and Monsanto. Collectively the companies will continue GHI’s mission to sustainably double agricultural output to address the global challenges of hunger and food security.

The company is a recognized leader with a solid track record of commitment to innovative solutions that address global hunger and food security with a focus on the best interests of people, animals, and the environment,” said Jerry Flint, GHI board chairman and vice president of Biotech Affairs and Regulatory for Pioneer Hi-Bred, a DuPont business. “The collaboration and shared mission of GHI’s growing membership of top agricultural, technology, and now animal health experts is unique in the food security space. Today more than ever GHI is focused on policy, action, and the importance of moving the dialogue beyond the well-known and established challenges of feeding nine billion global citizens by 2050.”
