Kiser executive director of Arkansas BWEP

DANNY KISER was named executive director of the Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Program at a recent meeting of the Arkansas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation Board. Kiser, who was interim director, had previously been director of operations for the program.

“Danny has done an outstanding job of managing this program as interim director,” said Perry Stratton, board chairman. “Under his leadership, the program has made great strides in eradicating the boll weevil statewide and we are confident he will move the organization forward to completely eliminate this devastating pest.”

Kiser came to the Arkansas Boll Weevil Program from Texas where he was associate program director for the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation in Abilene. A native of Texas, Kiser received a B.S. degree in entomology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He completed his masters degree at Texas Tech and went on to do advanced work towards his Ph.D. in entomology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
