Golden Acres, Progeny sign distribution agreement

The agreement covers the sale of Golden Acres products in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

Golden Acres Genetics, Ltd. and Erwin-Keith, Inc. have signed a long-term distribution agreement granting Erwin-Keith and subsidiary brand Progeny Ag Products exclusive distribution of Golden Acres brand corn and grain sorghum products in the Mid-South and Southeast U.S.

The agreement covers the sale of Golden Acres products in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

The agreement “means we’ll expand our current product offering of soybeans, rice, and wheat to include corn and sorghum products from Golden Acres as well,” said Jim Calhoon, vice-president and general manager of Progeny Ag.

“This will allow us to offer a broader line of high performing seed options to growers across our market.”

“We're confident the Progeny sales team will enhance Golden Acres representation in this key geography,” said Lou Buice, president of Golden Acres.

"Progeny Ag exhibits a commitment to value, grower profitability, and customer satisfaction that aligns very well with Golden Acres. Both companies first approach business decisions with the needs of the farmer in mind."

“Progeny is excited to offer these proven Golden Acres products to growers in 2012,” said Jim Calhoon.

“These products will help us in our goal to enhance the value of our customers’ business by providing the highest quality goods and services available at a competitive price.”
