Total Postemergence Herbicide Era Over?

The growing number of glyphosate-resistant weeds is forcing producers, particularly those in the South, to rethink their approach to weed control. So much is changing that some weed scientists believe the era of total postemergence weed control may be coming to an end. Larry Steckel, Extension weed scientist at the University of Tennessee, talked about the need for residual herbicides – and close scouting – for deal with problem weeds in a presentation at the Pan-American Weed Resistance Seminar in Miami.
