Two sulfonylurea herbicides added to Cheminova, Inc.'s product line

Cheminova, Inc., has received registration for Report Extra and Report herbicides in time for the 2008 growing season. Both products are in the sulfonylurea family and offer selective, postemergence weed control in cereal crops.

“Report Extra herbicide contains chlorsulfuron and metsulfuron,” says Jim Barrentine, technical services director for Cheminova.

“That means Report Extra is an economical alternative to Finesse herbicide. Growers can use this product for selective broadleaf weed control in winter and spring wheat, including durum. Report Extra controls broadleaf and grass weeds through pre-emergence and postemergence activity.

“Report herbicide contains chlorsulfuron and is an economical alternative to Glean herbicide. It provides pre-emergence and postemergence activity and selective broadleaf weed control in wheat and barley as well as spring and winter oats in selected areas.”

Report Extra and Report are available in a water dispersible granule (WG) formulation, and will be packaged in 20-ounce bottles. Each case contains 12 bottles.
