Texas researcher editor-in-chief of cotton journal

A peer-reviewed U.S. cotton science journal has named a Texas Tech University researcher its new editor-in-chief. Eric Hequet, associate director of the International Textile Center, was appointed to helm the editorial board of the Journal of Cotton Science.JCS is a peer-reviewed journal published quarterly by the Cotton Foundation which, according to its Web site, aims to improve understanding of cotton science.

“I am honored to take this role in the future of this institution,” Hequet said. “The Journal of Cotton Science serves as the only peer-reviewed journal devoted solely to cotton science.”

Hequet is one of 23 editors for JCS.
