Southern Weed Science Society meeting

THE 56TH ANNUAL meeting of the Southern Weed Science Society will be held Jan. 27-29 at the Adams Mark Hotel in Houston, Texas. The theme for the meeting is “Invasive Weeds: Real or Imagined.” Invasive weeds — including kudzu and cogongrass — are rapidly encroaching on farmlands, pastures, or forests are.

Attendees will discuss current research information in various topics including: weed management in agronomic crops, horticultural crops, turf, pastures, rangelands, and railroad and highway rights-of-way; physiological and biological aspects of weed control; and soil and environmental aspects of weed science.

For questions on registration, please contact Bob Schmidt at 217-352-4212 (raschwssa@aol.com). For questions about the program, contact William Witt at 859-257-1823 (wwitt@uky.edu).
