WEED SCIENCE researchers, Extension specialists, agricultural industry representatives, and students from the Southern Region will meet in Houston, Texas, at the Adams Mark Hotel Jan. 27-29.
A workshop on invasive species and their management will be conducted for two days in an effort to understand the problem and establish a strategy for preventing the spread and future introduction of noxious species that threaten our ecology. Some examples of noxious invasive species in the region are cogongrass, kudzu, dodders, hydrilla, and water hyacinth.
Workshop registration fee for non-members is $75.
The conference runs for three days, and is composed of a general session, oral research paper presentations, and poster sessions.
Registration fee for the entire conference is $210 for professionals and $75 for students. One-day registration fee is $75.
