Member associations of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association elected new officers at the organization's annual meeting held in conjunction with the Mid-South Farm & Gin Show at Memphis.

Curtis Stewart, Dumas Cotton Gin, Dumas, Ark., outgoing SCGA president, will serve as chairman of the board and president of the Arkansas Cotton Ginners Association.

W.A. “Billy” Guthrie, Newellton Gin Co., Newellton, La., is the new president of the SCGA and for the Louisiana Cotton Ginners Association.

Robert Royal, Midnight Gin Co., Midnight, Miss., is the new president of the Mississippi Cotton Ginners Association; E. O. “Corky” Dalton, Dalton Cotton Company, Senath, Mo., is the new president of the Missouri Cotton Ginners Association; Allen Espy, Espey Gin Co., Huntingdon, Tenn., is the new president of the Tennessee Cotton Ginners Association.

Other officers are Henry G. Watkins, Portis Mercantile, Lepanto, Ark., first vice president, and Barry Braden, Cotton Growers Inc., Dell, Ark., second vice president, Arkansas Cotton Ginners Association.
