Well, you can learn how to use the tools through a series of well-done hour-long Webinars (one each month) co-sponsored by the National Corn Growers Association and DuPont’s Pioneer Hi-Bred seed company.
Most recent was Tackling Twitter Thursday (April 28). The Webinar explained how to use Twitter to share, network and spread messages worldwide.
“In today’s fast paced world, it is important that we tell our story in ways that fit into both the public’s, and our own, busy lives,” says Brandon Hunnicutt, a farmer in Nebraska active in using Facebook and Twitter.
“Twitter provides a great opportunity for growers because it allows them to multitask by sending a quick 140-character or less message to a mass audience even while they are riding in the planter or waiting in line at the store.”
Additional Webinars are planned for May 19, June 16, July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.

High Functioning with Facebook: This Webinar focuses on taking your Facebook presence to the next level. It provides an in-depth look at best practices, how to use Facebook to accomplish a variety of goals, measuring success on Facebook, pitfalls to avoid and tools to turn users into a Facebook pro.
