CLAAS Omaha LLC announced that in conjunction with bringing the world's largest combine to market it will also offer the world's largest heads available directly from the factory.
“To match the industry-leading performance of the new Lexion 500 Series, we had to design and build headers big enough to feed the combines' extraordinary capacities,” says Maury Salz, Technical Manager for CLAAS Omaha LLC — Lexion Combine division.
The new heads, designed by the CLAAS Omaha engineering team, feature a 40 foot flex head with the innovative MaxFlex cutting system and a 16-row corn head for 30 inch row spacing. Also available are 25 foot and 30 foot flex head models and 6-, 8-, and 12-row corn head models.
“Our design team also improved the head to combine coupling system,” Salz added. “The multi-link system uses a single unit to make all hydraulic and electrical connections simple, fast, self-sealing and contamination-free.”
Lexion 500 series combines also feature a variable speed feederhouse with an improved heavy-duty reverser.
