It takes a diverse array of specialized equipment to make a sugarcane crop in Louisiana, and much of it comes from “Cajun country engineering."
These on-the-spot innovations can perform under the messiest of conditions, and the work is accomplished in job shops or on the farm. But be forwarned, Cajun engineering is not necessarily a beauty contest.
