The Delta Research and Extension Center at Stoneville will be the host site for the Delta’s annual Cotton Field Day Aug. 18 and Rice/Soybean Field day Aug. 19.

Registration begins in the grove at 8 a.m. both days. Field tours begin at 8:30 and lunch will be served as the tours conclude.

The Cotton Field Day includes nine stops with topics ranging from fertility and irrigation to variety trials and site-specific management technology. Extension specialists and MAFES researchers will explain various research projects and report on the findings and how those findings impact crop management on individual farms. The Rice and Soybean Field Day includes stops relating to soybean varieties, fertility and maturity trials as well as new compounds for rice weed control and a glimpse of new rice varieties under development at the station.
