The Mississippi State University Extension Service's Cotton Scout Training Schools are coming to a county near you. A half day of basic training on identifying and biology of cotton pests along with proper scouting techniques, the schools are primarily for summer cotton scouts. However, producers, consultants, county agents and others will find the program beneficial.

No fee or pre-registration is required to attend a scout school. However, persons planning to attend should contact host Extension offices or the Department of Entomology (662-325-2085) to verify time and location.
