THE ANNUAL Pesticide Stewardship Conference, sponsored by the National Pesticide Stewardship Alliance, will be held Oct. 19-22 at the Tucson Marriott University Park in Tucson, Ariz.
The theme of this year's conference, Stewardship Issues: Discussions for a Global Community, will emphasize the diversity of public and private sector organizations and non-profits involved in stewardship issues worldwide.
The annual conference, which features educational sessions, technical presentations and exhibits, brings together key industry organizations, including the Ag Container Recycling Council, Environmental Protection Agency, CropLife America, American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators, Ag Retailers Association, and National Pest Management Association.
State pesticide collection programs, hazardous waste management companies and container recycling programs use the conference as their principal networking and learning site.
The National Pesticide Stewardship Alliance was founded in 2000 to foster pesticide waste management and recycling programs, but has since evolved to encompass many other aspects of pesticide stewardship.
