Pest ecology focus of upcoming meeting

PEST ECOLOGY in a Changing World, is the theme of the annual joint conference of the Mississippi Agricultural Pest Management Associations. The 2004 conference is scheduled for Feb. 17-19 at the Washington County Convention Center in Greenville, Miss.

Bringing together members of the Mississippi Association of Plant Pathologists and Nematologists, the Mississippi Weed Science Society, and the Mississippi Entomological Association, the upcoming conference will cover many topics of interest, and will feature guest speakers from various areas of agriculture.

Among the topics to be discussed at the meeting are biotechnology, eco-profitable pest management, Bollgard II, soybean rust disease, Roundup Ready Flex and Liberty Link weed control programs.

The meeting will also feature sessions on plant pathology, weed science, and entomology.
