DERRICK M. OOSTERHUIS, professor of crop physiology at the University of Arkansas, has received the honor of Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy.

The award was presented at the 2002 annual meetings of the American Society of Agronomy, the Crop Science Society of America and the Soil Science Society of America in Indianapolis.

Oosterhuis, a recognized expert on the growth and development of cotton plants, has published research papers and speaks frequently on the subjects of potassium deficiency, foliar fertilization, drought tolerance and plant growth regulation.
