Sustainable Ag conference Jan. 21-24 in Chattanooga

The 2009 Practical Tools and Solutions for Sustaining Family Farms Conference will be held Jan. 21-24, 2009 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group’s 18th annual conference will be held the Chattanooga Convention Center and will headquarter at the adjacent Marriott Hotel.
Pre-conference events begin on Jan. 21 and include one-and-a-half day intensive short courses as well as several half-day field trips and mini courses. Then on Jan. 22-23, the general conference will offer eight tracks of highly essential conference sessions, a trade show, silent auction, video show, Taste of Tennessee dinner and more.
The general conference offers sustainable production and direct marketing information for horticultural and livestock producers, enterprise management lessons, farm policy education, community food systems development training and the opportunity to talk with peers from across the South.
