Farm bill Q&A sessions

Feb 26, 2009 10:56 AM

Gary Morrison, Farm Service Agency program director for Mississippi, will host two question and answer sessions on the new payment eligibility rules and regulations in the farm bill.

Both meetings will take place next Tuesday, March 3.

The first location is the Charles W. Capps Center in Stoneville, Miss., beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding around 11:30 a.m.

(Producers can participate in this meeting only via video conference from local county Extension offices. Contact a county extension office immediately if you plan to participate via video conference.)

The second location is the Coahoma County Expo Center in Clarksdale, Miss., beginning at 2 p.m. and concluding around 4:30 p.m.

Delta Council and Farm Bureau are joint hosts of these meetings.

“Mr. Morrison has agreed to respond to questions, but it will be more productive if producers will forward questions prior to the meeting to Tina Manning of Delta Council via fax at (662) 686-3378 or e-mail at tmanning@deltacouncil.org,” said Justin Ferguson of the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation.

Questions can be sent to Manning for Ferguson (jferguson@msfb.com).
