With the Iowa caucuses Jan. 3, the National Corn Growers Association has developed an informational program designed to educate the presidential candidates about the importance of agriculture.

Called the Targeted Agricultural Education Program, the new program's main feature is a Web site that provides information on where the candidates stand on five issue areas important to growers — trade, the farm bill, ethanol and renewable fuels and estate and capital gains taxes.

The Web site and other parts of the TAEP program also include information about where the NCGA stands on these issues, and other background information. The site can be reached by clicking on www.ncga.com/vote2008.
