Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has been criticized by environmental activists for his support of biotechnology.
But rather than retreat from the position he originally adopted as governor of Iowa, Vilsack recently defended his support of genetically engineered crops. His comments came during a briefing for reporters after he spoke at the 2010Commodity Classic in Anaheim, Calif.
