UAPB and USDA provide risk management help

THE UNIVERSITY of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and USDA have teamed up to provide risk management protection to farmers through education.

The goal of the risk management partnership is to teach farmers how to minimize the five primary sources of agriculture risks associated with farming: financial, legal, marketing, production, and human resource.

UAPB will be creating awareness, and teaching and providing information through newsletters, workshops and one-on-one assistance.

Farmers interested in receiving the newsletters, workshop notification or personal assistance can contact Arlanda Jacobs, Extension associate (Phillips, Lee and Monroe counties). Those elsewhere in the state can call 870-575-7246 or 870-575-8142.
