Mississippi State University’s North Mississippi Research and Extension Center will host its annual Producer Advisory Council meeting Feb. 21 at the Magnolia Conference Center in Verona.

This yearly meeting allows growers, producers, ranchers and other agricultural clients to meet with scientists and specialists from MSU’s Extension Service and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station to share concerns, ask questions and provide feedback about research and Extension programs.

Producers in northeast Mississippi --including Kemper, Panola, Montgomery, Grenada and Tate counties --are invited to attend the meeting. Fifteen break-out commodity committees will meet after the general session. Commodity groups represented are aquaculture, beef, cotton, dairy, equine, forestry/wildlife, fruits and nuts, goats, grain crops, ornamentals, peanuts, sweet potatoes, swine, turf and vegetable production.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Magnolia Conference Center adjacent to the Lee County Agri-Center. The program starts at 9 a.m. and runs until about 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided. A poster session highlighting university research on a variety of grower interests begins at 8 a.m.

Pre-registration is encouraged. For information or to register, call (662) 566-2201 or visit http://msucares.com/nmrec/pacmeeting.html
