Irrigation efficiency, safety two top goals for farmers in 2013


Irrigation was an important topic in the Mid-South again in 2012. Despite higher rainfall amounts in the Delta states before and after the crop season, farmers needed to apply supplemental water to achieve the kind of yields needed to pay for today’s inputs. Earl Voorhies discussed what farmers should be thinking as they enter the 2013 season in a presentation at an Irrigation Seminar at the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show.
