Harvest to first frost important time for southern growers

The time from harvest to first frost can range from zero to five months in Louisiana. Other states might not have such a long post-harvest window, but they can still grow a seed crop of glyphosate-resistant Palmer amaranth. The LSU AgCenter’s Daniel Stephenson talked about strategies for controlling seed production in those settings during the Consultants Conference at this year’s Beltwide Cotton Conferences.
