Ag Expo tickets available

Tickets for the North Louisiana Agri-Business Council’s Ag Expo 2009 are on sale. Admission to the event is $5; children under six years of age are admitted free.

Ag Expo 2009 will be held Jan. 16-17 at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe, La.

Tickets may be purchased at Louisiana Land Bank, 2411 Tower Drive, Monroe, La., and at Irrigation-Mart, 300 South Service Rd. East, Ruston, La.

Beginning Jan. 7, advance tickets will also be available at Goldman Equipment locations in West Monroe (next door to Ike Hamilton Expo), Mer Rouge, Lake Providence, Tallulah, Newellton, Waterproof, Ferriday, Jonesville, Bossier City and Natchitoches.

The 27th annual Ag Expo will feature approximately 100 agriculture-related businesses featuring equipment, technology and services in the trade show plus educational exhibits in Ag Alley that are coordinated by LSU AgCenter with University of Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana Tech departments of agriculture.

There will also be appearances by Smokey Bear, Elsie the Cow with Beau, free samples of Louisiana commodities and the ever popular “mini-farm” in Ag Alley.

A Forestry Forum, organized by LSU AgCenter, will be held the morning of Jan. 17. It requires separate registration.
