An article on weed resistance in the March 2 Delta Farm Press said growers can apply glyphosate plus Sequence to control heavy infestations of Palmer amaranth. Sequence is a mixture of glyphosate and metolachlor (Dual Magnum). The article also should have said that layby herbicides should be applied to Palmer amaranth less than 3 inches in size.
