Precision ag conference at Tunica Feb. 7-9

INFOAG MID-SOUTH, a conference focusing on precision farming technologies and systems, will be held Feb. 7-9 at the Grand Casino Conference Center at Tunica, Miss.
The conference, open to the agricultural community, is sponsored by the Foundation for Agronomic Research and the Potash and Phosphate Institute, and will spotlight applications for precision farming, GPS guidance systems, GIS applications, and related technologies as they apply to Mid-South soil and crop management systems.
The Tunica event is one of a series of regional conferences on the use of these technologies in rice, cotton, soybean, and corn production to improve profitability under real-world farming conditions.
Sessions will be geared to farmers and their advisors. The National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants will coordinate some special sessions for its members to learn about the latest technologies.
The conference will consist of panel presentations in which farmers and consultants will share their experiences with precision farming and information management technologies, with assistance from appropriate university and industry specialists.
Some sessions will include discussion forums for company representatives to explain and demonstrate their products and services and to field questions from attendees.
The convention center's exhibit hall will have displays of the latest technologies and services.
