Pesticide Applicator Stewardship program March 23 and 24

SPECIALISTS FROM the Mississippi and Arkansas Cooperative Extension Services will conduct Pesticide Applicator Stewardship training programs in Stoneville, Miss., and Clarksdale, Miss., March 23 and 24.
The March 23 program will be at the Delta Research and Extension Center Auditorium in Stoneville and the March 24 program at the Coahoma County Expo Building in Clarksdale. The March 23 program can be seen by satellite links at MSU facilities in Hattiesburg, Canton, Verona, Senatobia and Raymond.
Will McCarty, assistant director of the Mississippi State University Extension Service and state program leader for Agriculture and Natural Resources, will open the program with comments at 8:20 a.m. each day.
Other speakers include: Sam Mabry of the Agricultural Aviation Board of Mississippi; Butch Alpe, deputy director of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce's Bureau of Plant Industry; Anthony Mills, technical development specialist with Monsanto; Dennis Gardisser, agricultural engineer with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service; Bill Janous of Barksdale Bonding in Jackson, Miss.; Erick Larson, Extension agronomist for corn; Charles Ed Snipes, research/Extension professor for cotton; Alan Blaine, Extension agronomist for soybeans; Mark Kurtz, research professor for rice; and Nancy Lopez of the World Agricultural Outlook Board.
Lunch will be sponsored by the Mississippi Allied Industry Council.
