Jamie Jenkins named Tennessee FSA director

Jamie H. Jenkins has been appointed to serve as FSA state executive director for Tennessee. “Jamie Jenkins' strong background in education and agricultural Extension will help Tennessee producers optimize their use of resources and promote sustainable agriculture,” said USDA Farm Service Agency Administrator Teresa Lasseter.
“With the latest agricultural technology, research and marketing strategies needed in today's ag industry, I know he will serve the agency well.”
Jenkins has previously served as director of research for Agricenter International in Memphis, where he coordinated research activities.
For three decades, Jenkins led the University of Tennessee's Extension office. An avid educator, Jenkins provided educational information and recommendations on production and marketing of cotton, soybeans, corn, grain sorghum, small grains, and forages, to commercial farmers.
