Claas Variant 360 features adjustable bale density

Claas does it once again, offering engineering excellence by combining design and function to launch the first round baler to allow for adjustable bale density, bale height, soft core height and soft core density, all from the monitor of the Variant 360 Round Baler.
The Variant 360 Baler provides optimum versatility in bale formation fitting to the harvest conditions. Four new endless belts with 92 percent bale coverage help bale formation and crop retention in the bale chamber.
The Variant 360 puts control at the operator's fingertips offering the choice to set the bale diameter between 36-inches and 60-inches with a width of 48-inches.
Specifically engineered to control bale density, the Variant 360 has a hydraulic system, which guarantees maximum density no matter the conditions. Exclusive to Claas, the operator can adjust the density of the bale core from the cab with the newly designed terminal.
Make the core rock hard for the greatest compaction in dry straw or soft for animals to easily break up in hay. The monitor also boasts standard driving indicators to display where the hay needs to be placed in the bale chamber.
The Variant 360 offers wide pick up at high ground speed, and exact ground guidance with swiveling, tool-free adjustable guide wheels which follow the contour of the land.
Crop flows consistently with the rotor directly behind the pick-up. The rotor, which can be equipped as a Feed Rotor or a Roto Cut, moves crop directly into the bale chamber. This makes for higher capacity and easier bale start to make even hard-sided bales.
