LSU AgCenter sweet potato field day Aug. 24

LSU AgCenter researchers will showcase and discuss research and demonstration plots at the Sweet Potato Research Station field day on Aug. 24 at the station in Chase, La.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., and the program and field tours will start at 8:15.

Topics include the economics of sweet potato production in Louisiana, virus vectors of sweet potatoes, the sweet potato breeding program, weed and nematode management, improving yields and production efficiency, foundation seed program, fresh market versus processing and trends for the future and sweet potato intellectual property in the LSU AgCenter.

A sponsored lunch will be served at noon.
