The LSU AgCenter will hold a field day Aug. 14 at its Sweet Potato Research Station in Chase, La.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with opening comments at 8:30 a.m. and field tours at 9 a.m. It will wrap up with a lunch served at noon.
The foundation seed program and several research programs will be highlighted during the field tour.
Topics will include in-season tissue sampling and supplemental fertilization, the sweet potato breeding program, insect pest management, seed survey results, weed management, nematode management, sampling procedures and application techniques, insecticides and virus vector research.
