Keenum to speak at Delta Council meeting

MARK KEENUM, chief of staff for Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., will be the featured speaker for the Nov. 15 mid-year board of directors meeting of the Delta Council at the Mississippi Valley State University campus in Itta Bena, Miss.

Keenum will discuss the results of the Nov. 5 mid-term elections.

“Mark Keenum will have a lot of insight on how the November elections will change the face of Congress for the next several years and the impact that it will have on Mississippi,” said Bryan Jones, Delta Council president, Yazoo City, Miss.

“Sen. Cochran has been a tireless advocate for countless development initiatives in the Delta and the state of Mississippi, and I know that our board and guests will also want to hear his thoughts on those issues.”

In addition to Keenum's talk, there will be an activity and issues briefing from Delta Council, as well as reviewing the resolutions and policies approved by the committees since the May annual meeting.
