Floods expected to lead to large losses for Mississippi farmers

Almost no part of the Mississippi Delta will be spared from the effects of the historic flooding that is occurring along the western boundary of the state. That’s the assessment of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture’s Andy Prosser. Prosser was one of a number of state and federal government officials who gave members of the Delta Council an assessment of the current flood situation during the Council’s 76th annual meeting at Delta State University today (May 6).
