David Blakemore, B&B Cotton Co., Campbell, Mo., will serve as president of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association for 2003. He succeeds Sledge Taylor, Como Consolidated Gin Co., Como, Miss., who will now serve as chairman of the board. Blakemore also serves as president of the Arkansas-Missouri Cotton Ginners Association.

Other state officers and executive committee members include George LaCour, president of the Louisiana Cotton Ginners Association, Lettsworth, La.; James Killebrew, president of the Mississippi Cotton Ginners Association, Tchula, Miss.; and Chris Clegg, president of the Tennessee Cotton Ginners Association, Tiptonville, Tenn.

Serving as SCGA first vice presidents are John Stuckey, Trumann, Ark.; John T. Carroll, Gilbert, La.; George King, Chatham, Miss.; and Will Wade, Kenton, Tenn.

Second vice presidents are Billy Ussery, Helena, Ark.; John Lowery, Rayville, La.; John Swayze, Benton, Miss.; and Richard Kelley, Burlison, Tenn.

Richard Bransford, Lonoke, Ark., is treasurer for the association; R. D. James, New Madrid, Mo., and Bruce Dawson, Dexter, Mo., are also members of the executive committee.
