Field tour July 26

JONESBORO, Ark. — On July 26, farmers in northeast Arkansas can tour farms participating in Arkansas Extension’s verification programs in corn, soybeans, rice and cotton.

“This is a good opportunity for farmers, consultants, industry personnel, researchers and promotion board members to see several crops rolled into one in a day-long tour,” said Frank Groves, Extension cotton verification program coordinator.

Participants can see how various crops are doing in verification fields where research-based university technology is used and Extension recommendations are followed.

Groves said participants will meet in Jonesboro, Ark., at 10 a.m., tour farms in Poinsett County and finish at 4:30 p.m. The itinerary is still being prepared.
