Estimate farm machinery costs

“Estimating Farm Machinery Costs” is a University of Arkansas publication that provides estimates for owning and operating farm machinery and equipment.

Hourly ownership and operating costs for various horsepower tractors are provided. Cost estimates are provided for tractors from 50 to 500 horsepower.

Additional information is provided on the hourly and per acre cost of performing specific field operations.

The implement width, tractor horsepower, and performance rate are given for each field operation as well.

Cost estimates are provided for approximately 90 different field operations including tillage, planting, fertilizing, and spraying. Nearly 30 harvesting cost scenarios are also provided in the factsheet.

This information may also be useful in comparing or estimating custom rates.
