Curtis Stewart to head ginner group in 2006

Dumas, Ark., ginner Curtis Stewart will serve as president of the Southern Cotton Ginners Association for 2006. Officers were elected at the group's annual meeting at Memphis. Vice president is Billy Guthrie, Newellton, La.; treasurer, Richard Bransford, Lonoke, Ark.; chairman of the board, John Swayze, Benton, Miss.; and executive vice president: Timothy L. Price, Memphis. Officers of state associations are:

Arkansas-Missouri — Curtis Stewart, Dumas, Ark., president; and Robbie Winston, Peach Orchard, Mo., and Henry G. “Tri” Watkins, Lepanto, Ark., vice presidents;

Louisiana — Bertis Ray, Jonesville, president, and Billy Guthrie, Newellton, and John E. Carroll, Gilbert, vice presidents;

Mississippi — Ted Kendall, Bolton, president; and Robert Royal, Midnight, and Clark Carter, Rolling Fork, vice presidents;

Tennessee — Richard Kelley, Burlison, president; and Allen Espey, McLemoresville, and Stewart Tritt, Brownsville, vice presidents.
