Attendees will receive a package of publications and information on the identification and biology of cotton insects and how to scout for them. Instructors will also provide a “Scout Smart Kit,” containing some of the basic tools used by cotton scouts. Bayer Corp. is providing the kits.

No fee is charged for the schools, and pre-registration is not required. However, persons traveling any distance to the schools are advised to call the host location or the Mississippi State University Entomology Department to confirm the time and location of the school.

May 27 – Bost Extension Building Theater, Mississippi State, Starkville, Miss.;

May 30 – Penn’s Fish House, Canton, Miss.;

June 5 – B.F. Smith Auditorium, Delta Research and Extension Center, Stoneville, Miss.;

June 6 – Northeast Mississippi Research and Extension Center, Verona, Miss.

Each school will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon.
