The blenders’ tax credit that is set to expire Dec. 31 has helped build Iowa into the leading ethanol producing state in the nation. Iowa corn growers understandably are concerned about the fate of the VEETC credit, but Iowa State University’s Chad Hart says the loss of the credit may not have that much of an effect on ethanol use. Hart spoke at the Integrated Crop Management Conference at Iowa State University.
