The 2006 Mississippi Crop College will be Feb. 7-9 at the Bost Extension Center on the Mississippi State University campus. Registration begins at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, with the welcome at 10 a.m.

The Tuesday program will concentrate on management issues in Mississippi soybeans, corn, cotton, rice and peanuts.

Feb. 8 and Feb. 9 programs start at 8 a.m.

Feb. 8 will feature the annual meeting of the Mississippi Section of the American Society of Agronomy and topics will cover a variety of issues in soil fertility, soil management, crop and pest management. There will be an evening social/dinner at the Starkville Country Club beginning at 6 p.m.

The Feb. 9 program will emphasize nutrient and soil management, and current agricultural environmental issues affecting farmers, including discussions on fertilizer supply and demand issues.

Attendees will receive Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Continuing Education credits and meet Consultant License and Applicator Certification requirements.
