Beef and forage field day May 2

THE LSU Agricultural Center, Rosepine Research Station will host a Beef Cattle and Forage Field Day May 2. Admission is free and open to the public.

Trade show exhibits will open at noon. There will be two tours of the station, one starting at 1:30 p.m. and another at 4 p.m.

Topics covered on both tours will include crabgrass and other forage varieties for grazing and wildlife, proper hay storage, and different methods for branding cattle.

The research station is located on U.S. Hwy. 171 two miles north of Rosepine, La. Contact the research station office at 337-463-7708 for additional information.
