Arkansas Soybean Association sets Jan. 22 seminar

The Arkansas Soybean Association has set Jan. 22 as the date of its 44th annual business session and seminar at the Convention Center in Brinkley, Ark. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the program at 9 a.m., with conclusion following lunch.

The program will include an explanation of basis, updates on the upcoming farm bill and the soybean checkoff, and information from the crushing industry.

Speakers include Scott Hardy of White Commercial; John Hoffman, president, American Soybean Association, Waterloo, Iowa; and Todd Allen, executive committee member for the United Soybean Board, West Memphis Ark.

Winners of the 2007 Yield Challenge will be announced and the 2008 DuPont Young Leaders will be recognized. 2007 CES Education Awards will also be awarded.
