Arkansas Soybean Association seminar Jan. 25

The Arkansas Soybean Association has set its 43rd annual business session and seminar for Jan. 25.

The informative seminar and business session will be held at the Convention Center in Brinkley, Ark., with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the program at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will conclude following lunch.

The program includes updates on the upcoming farm bill, the soybean checkoff, Southern involvement in future U.S. energy needs, and marketing issues.

Speakers are Johnny Dodson, vice president, American Soybean Association; Tom Dorr, undersecretary of agriculture for rural development; Brad Anderson of Informa Economics; and Todd Allen, executive committee, United Soybean Board.

During the members business session, winners of the 2006 Yield Challenge will be announced and the 2007 DuPont Young Leaders will be recognized. The 2006 CES Education Awards will also be awarded.

Ag business reps will be present to answer questions.
