Ark-La-Tex Forestry Forum March 14, Shreveport, La.

THE LSU AGCENTER hosts the 18th annual Ark-La-Tex Forestry Forum beginning at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, March 14, at the Holiday Inn Financial Plaza in Shreveport, La.

Topics to be discussed include: forest certification, ripping and bedding, comparing timber prices by weight and volume, managing wetland areas for duck habitat and the Formosan termite situation. Speakers will also talk about the Southern Forest Heritage Museum and the status of the South's forest resources.

The fee is $20 for those who register after Feb 28. This fee includes lunch and a copy of the program proceedings.
